Tuesday

Rhea & I went over to Findlay school to see Clyde T. & Frank play baskeball but did not stay.  Came home and ironed.  Dorothy came home about 1:00, had bowled a “U” team, and the fellows & girls went over to “Beanies” afterwards.  She rode in a ‘Rumble Seat’

Monday

Ceil Fitchner is 19 years & 1 day old today. Pauline’s tooth very bad. Forgot my lunch today. D.H. and Ceil gave me some.  Kohler’s here tonight for dinner. Helped Mother get dinner. We to hear Fritz Kreisler tonight.  He played 4 encores, we went up close to the stage for the last.  He was perfectly wonderful; had a good accompaniest too.  Stopped at Schmidt’s on the way home.

Sunday

Got up late this morning. Cleaned out my dresser droor [sic] and our cedar chest. Made beds, Dorothy got dinner. Roy called me up this afternoon and asked me to go to the show tonight – saw ‘Beau Sabreur’ at Strand. Evelyn Brendt, Gary Cooper & Noah Beery – Very good. 

Roy did not come in.

Saturday

Got to work at 8:00 this morning instead of 7:30, nobody said anything about it.  Louise, Helen F, Mary & I went to Barberton. stopped at Mary’s for dinner and went to the American Legion Benefit Bridge.  Stopped downtime on the way home and got Harriet B. a birthday present – a pin. She is 20 years old today.  Saw Walter Featherston this evening.  Roy and I went to Keith’s. saw Eddie Foy’s last appearance.  Had to stand a long time.  Show – comedy – ‘The Gay Retreat’

Note: This was probably literally Eddie Foy’s last apearance as he died Feb 16, 1928!

Stayed home this morning. Called the office at 8:30, went to work at noon.  Met Joe Jordan tonight on the way home.  Deininger’s here tonight.  I went to be about 10:00

Thursday

Still cold. Not feeling well this noon.  Started to work this afternoon but couldn’t.  D.H. made me some pepperming . Artis got me some “drops”.  Took my first aspirin (Pauline). June had one of the warehouse fellows bring me home.  Mr. Francis very nice, got home about 3:00, went to be about 5:00 & slept till almost 9:30. Viola T. here this evening.  Fixed my red dress & my cash dress (?) & cleaned my pocketbook – went back to bed around 12:00.  Rhea played at graduation.

Wednesday

Still cold.

Mrs. Aston called me this morning & wanted me to be sure to come to the meeting tomorrow night and note for their alleys for the tournament.  Was all set to stay home tonight (MR, & Mrs Deinenger here – Rhea & Dorothy bowling) but Harriet B. called up and we went down to see Dorothy bowl.  Buff Gander & I bowled a game, he made 129 I made 87.  Jim M. & I came out even – he made 165 exactly.

Tuesday

Windy & Cold today. Went to Pauline Fichtner’s bridge party.  Pauline , Helen, Ceil Fitchner, Louise Crisp, Mary Kinney, Lenore Stevenson, Betty (Ceil’s friend), Dorothy Houk (Pauline’s friend) & myself, Dippy there too.  Mary Kinney won first prize – compact, Lenore won booby – garters.  She had sandwiches, pickles, olives & coffee, then ice cream baskets with pineapple (freen and orange ) ice in them – very good.  Louise brot [sic] us down town, and Mary’s brother brot [sic] me home, then took her home.

Monday

Warmer this morning. Mother made fried bread this noon.  Mary Kinney, Louise Crisp & I went over to see Donna Burkhart tonight after work.  Stopped at French’s at Five Points and got a box of candy for her. She is looking fine.  Monther made a rasin Pie today at my request. Swellish! Deinenger’s here.

Sunday

Got up at noon today. Roy called and wanted me to go for a ride. We all went for a ride and stopped at Gaylord’s in Springfield, then to Aunt Clara’s.  Dorothy took car to go to Harriet’s then to Baccauleratte.  Rhea & I went to Baccauleratte, met Marjorie there. 

Mother and Father came home about 8:00.  We had something to eat when we got home.  Mother was pretty tired.  P.S. there was a wonderful sunset today.  Saw a sailboat on Springfield Lake.
