Deinengers & Rose Peterson here tonight. George boxing. I washed my hair & ironed the silks & darned my stockings, etc.. Burned my arm swellishly. Went to bed abour 11:30

Sunday
Went to S.S. this morning, made the beds & helped Rhea clean her bedroom drawer. Took a nap this evening. Deinengers, Petersons & Clarence here. They played cards. I curled Rhea’s hair like Mother likes it, it looks nifty.

Saw Alberta on way to work today.
Louise Crisp broadcasted today from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M., accompaniest for Mr. from station WADC. Went to Keith’s with roy. A wonderful base [sic] voice in the male quartet, especially in ‘My Blue Heaven’ sung byt ‘The Four of Us’.

Friday
Wonderful flluffy [sic] snow this morning, great big soft flakes. Sure feels good, but the snow & sun are at war and the sun is winning.
Got thru work on time. Mother washed silks and is tired so I got supper after she fixed fish and peeled potatoes. i washed the dishes, pressed some silks and darned my stockings.

Thursday
Talked to Mr. Hillwig today lon-distance to Cleveland – orders for consignments of sugar (one of our ’sugar-daddys’ Ha ha). Bowled the Cahill Plumbers at 6:00. J.B. Dannemiller was down, Jim M. & D were there too. Pauline, Louise & I went to ZImmerman’s then to Allen – Greta Garbo, ‘Divine Woman’. Pauline is going to teach me to play tennis this summer.

Rhea and I went to Strand after work. ‘The Student Prince’ – Ramon Navarro & Norma Shearer. Very good byt also sad at end.

Tuesday
Rhea & I went to hear Rose Ponselle dramatic soprano. Wonderfule, she was very sweet, wore an old fashined dress & acted the part. Every-one liked her. My favorites: “The Wind” oooooooooooooooooo, “Lullaby”, “He Loves Me Not” and a German folk song

Monday
Hung up clothes for Mother today. Dorothy went to ‘The Student Prince’ after work.

Sunday
We all got up early. Mother got breakfast and we went to Sunday School. Made beds, put up ‘lines’ in our closet and straigntened it up. Sure looks swell now.
had dinner about 3:00. Washed dishes and read. Aunt Mary, Aunt Anna, Uncle Jim, Deinenger’s here. went to Keith’s tonight with Roy. Bebe Daniels – ‘Feel my Pulse’ als good vaudeville. Deinengers stayed and played cards after Aunt Mary & Kohler’s left.
February 25, 1928
Saturday
Finished up the ‘label business’ today. Got home about 1:30. Got lunch, mended hose, ironed a few silks then went to bed. Napped till 4:00. Did not go out tonight. Dorothy & Rhea went to ‘All Aboard’. Elaine J. came over, we played the piano and fussed around. I took her home aorund 10:00. Came home and finished my tan Rauchnero dress.
